Director of Engineering

Drew Symons joined Synthex Organics in 2018 as part of the Technical Service Group, a function he continues to support in his current role as Chemstream’s Director of Engineering following the merger of Synthex Organics and Chemstream. He leads engineering and technical service initiatives that enhance Chemstream’s chemical solutions across multiple industries, with a focus on system performance, reliability, and continuous improvement.

Drew brings more than a decade of experience in engineering, operations, and leadership. Before joining Synthex Organics, he spent eight years in the pulp and paper industry as a mill superintendent, where he gained extensive hands-on experience in process optimization and operational management. His work at a facility supplied by Synthex provided him with a unique dual perspective on customer needs from both the production and chemical supplier sides.
