Water Treatment Chemicals
Chemstream offers a range of specialized chemicals for water treatment applications in mine quarries and municipalities.
- Precipitation Chemicals (AMDTreat). This product adjusts the pH and oxidizes heavy metals causing precipitation and eventually, water clarification. This is the product of choice for treating acid mine drainage, as it rapidly precipitates and removes iron, manganese and aluminum. AMDTreat can be dispensed with the Wheel-Treater, Vario-Ject and many other liquid feeders.
- Coagulation Chemicals. These products promote the formation of pinfloc which starts the water clarification process. They work exceptionally well on brown and gray clays when alkalinity is present in the water to be treated. They also remove suspended iron from acid mine drainage water and work over a wide pH range. These products can be fed with the Wheel-Treater, Vario-Ject and other peristaltic, diaphragm and piston pumps.
- Flocculation Chemicals. This line of products rapidly clarifies water where there is a specific charge of the suspended particle. Individual flocculation products are used for specific pH and particle levels. These polymer flocculants are available in powders, emulsion liquids, solution liquids and jel-log formulations. They can be fed with the Wheel-Treater, Vario-Ject and other chemical feeders.
- Potable Water Treatment Chemicals. These products are NSF approved for liquid chlorination, water conditioning and corrosion inhibition. They can be dispensed with any Chemstream pump or injector.
- Dust Suppression Chemicals. These are concentrated surfactants for continuous underground dust suppression.
- Other Chemicals. Chemstream provides chemicals for defoaming, descaling and other water treatment needs.
